Laura Mair completed her master's degree in German as a Foreign Language at LMU and has been a doctoral candidate since October 2023. She is conducting research for her dissertation project on specialized language examination in medicine, thus working at the intersection of specialized language and testing research. Additionally, she is currently contributing to a German as a Foreign Language (DaF) textbook on academic language. In this context, she is interested in scientific genres, writing processes, and argumentation structures.
During her master's studies, she worked as a peer tutor for the Writing Center, mainly providing writing consultations and workshops for students with German as a foreign language.
